Why Horizontal Levels Fail Around the Lunch Hour

Bangkok's local lunch stretch—roughly 11:30 to 13:00—regularly produces false breaks on levels that looked solid at the open. The issue is not the line itself but the participation behind it.

In our Thursday review circles, we ask members to note whether a level was tested with widening spreads or with one large print. Lunch-hour tests often show the former: price tags the level, stalls for two candles, then drifts through on minimal size.

A practical adjustment is to widen the zone by one tick above and below when marking levels that coincide with the prior day's lunch range. We also require a closing print back inside the zone before treating a break as valid during this window.

This habit does not eliminate every whipsaw, but it reduces the number of levels you redraw before the afternoon trend resumes. Members who adopt it report fewer mid-session erasures in their notebooks.
